FerretDB - A truly Open Source MongoDB alternative, built on PostgreSQL.

FerretDB is an open source proxy that translates MongoDB wire protocol queries to SQL, with PostgreSQL as the database engine.

FerretDB allows you to use MongoDB drivers seamlessly with PostgreSQL as your database backend. Use all tools, drivers, UIs, and the same query language and stay open-source. 

FerretDB is compatible with MongoDB drivers and can be used as a direct replacement for MongoDB 6.0+. We are constantly adding features to increase compatibility based on user feedback.

After several months of development, FerretDB announced its 1.0 GA launch in April 2023 to the community.
